Haitian Disaster Relief Receives Donation from First Team Real Estate’s “First In Our Hearts” Foundation

March 10, 2010

On January 12, 2010, a series of earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 6.5 to 7.3 devastated Haiti. “First In Our Hearts”, the philanthropic arm of First Team Real Estate created to build-on and focus our company’s long tradition of giving back to communities in need, recently donated $7,500 to the Haitian Relief Development effort through the American Red Cross.

Join First Team and First In Our Hearts in supporting the disaster relief by donating to the American Red Cross or texting your donations through the Red Cross.

Text “HAITI” to 90999 or visit

Your $10 donation made through mobile ‘text’ giving can provide a family with two water cans to store clean drinking water, basic first aid supplies or a blanket appropriate to the climate.

Other recent contributions from Cameron Merage, CEO and Founder of First Team Real Estate, in keeping with a Merage family tradition of giving include personally donating $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity’s Fullerton, CA project earlier in 2009. This project allowed the Cruz-Vaca family, amongst others, to live the dream of home ownership and to experience hope and the goodwill of others despite difficult economic times.

Congratulations to Cam and First Team agents for their great work thru’
    First In Our Hearts Foundation.

As a founding member I am very proud of the support given to many in need with Cam Merage at the helm to navigate in rough water and bring a calm helping hand to those less fortunate at the moment.

    Keep up the great work!!!
