The New “My Story” Tells of a Mother’s Heroic Move for her Daughter’s Education

Liberty Romero loved her home, but she loved her daughter and her daughter’s education more. When moving her daughter to a better school proved challenging, Liberty did what she had to do. With the support of her First Team® agent, Liberty moved into the school’s neighborhood, closing one front door to open another for her daughter.

When her daughter stopped progressing academically, Liberty tried to move her to a higher-performing school. Unfortunately, her initial transfer request was denied, and despite appealing it successfully, without moving to the school’s neighborhood, the chance of being accepted for the following year was slim. Liberty told her daughter that they had to leave their home so that she could succeed. She began working to sell her home, close escrow and find another in the school’s area all before the next academic year.

Many issues arose with her house as well as the one they chose to buy. Kimberly Olbrich, their First Team agent, worked through every obstacle and provided solutions. Finding the right buyer was difficult, but Kimberly found one within their deadline. When Liberty realized that the homes in the new neighborhood were outside of her budget, Kimberly managed to find the perfect home, successfully negotiating a comfortable price.

“My First Team agent was there for us every step of the way. She made the impossible happen,” Liberty said. “Kimberly is so much more than a real estate agent. To my family, she’s a hero.”
