Mike Hampton, manager of the First Team East Orange County Regional Office in Tustin, has a long and illustrious history with the office. He was the person who opened the office 21 years ago and has hired and coached every one of the agents for what has become one of the most successful offices in the First Team system.
According to records held by the Pacific West Association of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service and independent source Trend Graphics company, the office is consistently honored as the top-selling office within the associations’ 6,000-strong membership. First Team agents from this office also lead the association in the total number of listings sold, most number of buyers represented and total number of transactions.
Mike credits the ongoing training, strong business coaching and matchless marketing and advertising tools as key factors that give First Team agents an advantage over other companies when it comes to providing unsurpassed customer service. Unique programs such as the Buyers Pipeline℠, Sneak Preview and the Estates Division’s award-winning marketing programs are popular agent-centric tools and services.
A strong case can also be made for the cohesive and sharing environment of the office as integral factor for agent achievement.
“We focus on opportunities and abundance,” Mike said, noting that the weekly team meeting is agent driven and is primarily a marketing session and problem solving opportunity. The wants and needs of clients are paramount, and the focus is on creating results for our clients and customers. The office serves a broad cross-section of clients from homebuyers looking to buy their first entry-level property, to buyers and sellers of multi-million-dollar estates.
Mike characterizes the office as being a warm, friendly and cohesive place that is focused on agents’ success. “If you pay attention to the basics, and keep focused you can build up a pretty wonderful career in the real estate industry,” Mike said. As you might imagine, many agents are anxious to join this highly successful office and only the very best agents are invited to join. Many North County-area agents joined First Team CEO and Founder Cameron Merage and Yorba Linda Branch Manager Bob MacCulloch at the official unveiling of the company’s newly renovated office in Packing House Square on Imperial Highway, Yorba Linda, at a by-invitation-only event held July 18.
Invitations to join the celebration were sent to cooperative business associates as well as First Team agents who call the Yorba Linda office “home.”
“This office is in a great location to serve our clients, but the office was long overdue for an update and renovation,” Bob said. “Now the office more truly reflects the type of clientele that is served by the agents who work here.”
Agents praised the contemporary re-design that showcases upscale elements such as walls of glass and shimmering waterfalls. Open lounge-type seating encourages comfortable conferences while intimate, enclosed conference areas are perfect for reviewing and signing documents. As you might expect from a company that is known for its innovation and technology smarts, the office is designed to take full advantage of all technology services and products.
More than 88 agents work out of the Yorba Linda office, primarily covering the North County area and also areas reaching into the Inland Empire. They list and sell properties as diverse as condominiums and single family homes to large multi-million-dollar estates. According to Bob, because of the company’s founding membership in the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® and affiliation to its Luxury Portfolio InternationalTM division, agents enjoy an international reach for both estates and relocation clients.
For a confidential career interview, please call Bob MacCulloch at (714) 996-6070 or stop by 18180 Yorba Linda Blvd., Yorba Linda, to see for yourself how beautifully you could work at First Team. For more information, visit www.firstteam.com or call (866) 748-4982.
On July 19, 2012, First Team lost one of their greatest agents and friends, Jack Ryan. A week before his passing, Jack officially retired and we we sat down for a chat with April Palaferri, his daughter and assistant of 12 years, about Jack’s accomplishments and the legacy of his farm:
After 21 years, First Team agent Jack Ryan is ready for retirement. With numerous Hall of Fame awards and other accolades to his name, Jack concludes his career as a successful agent having helped many people find their dream home.
Throughout the years, Jack’s focus has always been to build a solid reputation throughout Orange County as an indispensible resource certified in Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), helping distressed homeowners.
Jack’s success is a testament to his knowledge, and The Ryan Team will continue his high level of professionalism. The Ryan Team, composed of April Palaferri and Albert Soto, will pick up where Jack leaves off, taking over his farm with the expertise that Jack has always provided.
After working alongside Jack, her father, April is ready to put her attentive and honest personality to work helping families achieve their real estate goals. Her knowledge of marketing and advertising as well as her insight into home construction give her a competitive edge.
“April and I have worked together for the last 12 years,” Jack said. “She has a vast knowledge of home marketing and advertising and all of the great tools that First Team has to offer its clients.”
Working alongside April is Albert Soto, a certified SFR agent with experience in bank-owned homes, investment properties and property management. With six years in real estate and more than 15 years in sales and marketing, Albert has an annual sales volume of more than four million.
“Albert’s negotiation skills and attention to sellers’ and buyers’ needs are of the highest caliber,” Jack said.
The Ryan Team will be working in Jack’s farm and in surrounding areas. Jack has complete confidence in April and Albert and he looks forward to following their successful record of sales.
“I trust that April and Albert will continue to carry my attention to detail and also my tenacity of getting the best price for a home,” he said.
Tim Morissette is a man who wears many hats, both literally and figuratively. Students at Foothill Ranch Elementary School love the comical hats he wears when he reads to them, and then there’s the Santa hat he wears as “Santa Tim” during the holidays. But it’s the myriad of real estate “hats” that this award-winning top producer wears that his clients appreciate the most.
Whether it’s negotiating a deal for his clients, putting on his marketing hat and getting a property sold quickly and for the best price, or listening to his clients to be sure he really understands what is truly important to them in the purchase of their next home, Tim delivers – and then some.
As a self-proclaimed “eternal optimist,” it’s hard not to like this personable, sincere, honest and hard-working agent who believes that if you do what you fear most, you’ll fear nothing; and that if you perceive, you will achieve.
“I believe in what I’m doing, and because of that, I can accomplish anything,” Tim said, acknowledging that being with the No. 1-ranked company in Orange County is a big plus. “I’ve been with First Team for 15 years. I love their proprietary programs, marketing and support. I’m there for my clients, and they are there for me.”
Tim says it’s important to strategically market properties online. This includes syndication and enhancement of listings as well as pay-per-click. Key positioning due the strong online presence of First Team also plays an important role in helping him get properties sold.
Tim believes today’s market is both a seller and a buyer’s market.
“Low inventory and exceptional property values often result in a bidding war with the sale price escalating above the list price – which is great for sellers. However, property values are still lower than they’ve been in years – similar to 2003 prices and with the lowest interest rates in history since 1930,” Tim said. “It’s a great time to buy, so it’s good for buyers and sellers.”
To inject some optimism and success into your next real estate transaction, contact Tim at (949) 412-2233 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
